Chimera Quartz Plus lightbanks are a true industry standard. Featuring durable high-heat construction and a massive range of light shaping accessories, Quartz lightbanks are designed to support continuous fixtures from 2kW to 12kW! The Chimera 36×48 In. Quartz Plus Softbox (Medium) is designed for use with large open-face hot lights. It is rated up to 6,000 Watts and diameters from 9 to 21.5 inches. Use this box for the softest light possible. The “Plus” designation means the face of the box is removable. It comes with a one stop diffusion cloth, and additional 1/2 and 1/4 grid cloths. Substituting a half or quarter difusion, or taking out the interior baffle will result in more contrast, slightly more light transmission, and less softening of the light.
